Shilamaya Temple: A Journey of Devotion and Transformation

Originally established in 1978 as the sacred Shree Uma Maheshwari Temple, this revered site has been a cornerstone of spiritual devotion for decades. In 2011, the temple underwent a remarkable transformation, reconstructed as the Shilamaya Temple—a stunning stone-based structure that embodies timeless strength and divine craftsmanship.

This evolution preserves the temple's original spiritual essence while enhancing its architectural grandeur, offering devotees a serene and sacred space to connect with Shree Uma Maheshwari Devi. The stone carvings and traditional designs, specially brought from South India, reflect both the temple’s rich history and its enduring significance in the hearts of devotees.

Archakas (Priests)

The rituals and spiritual ceremonies at Shree Uma Maheshwari Temple are performed by our dedicated team of priests, collectively known as the Archaka Vrinda.

Mukhya Archaka (Chief Priest): Shri Srinivas Udupa
Responsible for overseeing all major rituals and ensuring the sanctity of the temple’s spiritual practices.

Upa Archaka (Assistant Priests): Shri Rajesh Bhat & Shri Ramanand Bhat
Supporting the Mukhya Archaka in performing daily pujas, aarthi, and assisting devotees with their spiritual needs.

Bhajan Mandali

The Bhajan Mandali, led by Shri Ravindra Shanti, adds a spiritual rhythm to our worship with their melodious devotional songs and chants.

Regular Bhajan Sessions are held during special occasions, festivals, and friday evenings, creating a divine atmosphere for devotees.

The Mandali is made up of talented singers and musicians who devote themselves to spreading the message of the goddess through soulful bhajans.

We warmly welcome all devotees to join us and experience the divine melodies of the Bhajan Mandali during their soulful sessions.

Visiting Seva Archakas

The temple is blessed with the dedicated service of Shri R.L. Bhat, Shri Prasad Tantri, and others who ensure the highest level of ritual purity and spiritual guidance. Along with the Seva Archakas, including Shri Shankar Bhat, Shri Giri Bhat, Shri Srinivas Bhat, Shri Subramanium Bhat, Shri Raja Bhat, Shri Srinivas Jogate Bhat, Shri Sridhar Bhat, Shri Nagraj Bhat, Shri Hebbar Bhat, they diligently uphold the rituals and traditions with utmost devotion. Their selfless contributions play a vital role in preserving the temple's sanctity and enriching the spiritual experience of devotees.

Beyond conducting poojas and assisting in religious ceremonies, some also prepare food for thousands of devotees during temple celebrations and prasad for rituals. Their unwavering commitment and dedication, along with the varied contributions, cultivate a profound sense of faith and community among worshippers.

Shree Uma Maheshwari Hall

The Shree Uma Maheshwari Hall is a fully air-conditioned venue, ideal for weddings, gatherings, and events, ensuring that all occasions honor the sacred atmosphere and values of the temple. It accommodates around 400–500 guests and is available during the following timings:

Daytime: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Evening: 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Additionally, there is a mini hall for smaller events, suitable for 50–100 guests.
